Tatoxta, Puebla 9.3 inches, painted wood The carver is Teodoro Tacuepian Galvan. Don Teodoro’s birth occurred on July 14, 1911, so he would be in his 90’s. He began carving in the last 20-30 years of his life. He has carved many masks and his work is quite popular. He only uses Aguacate wood and usually carves one per day. This mask has been used for several years and because of the character depicted, fairly rare. SOLD
