Morenada dance, La Paz, Bolivia 15 inches, painted tin, hair, jewelry After the conquest, slaves were imported for heavy work in Bolivia. The Morenada depicts these black Ethiopians with a cast of characters including workers, women, a captain, and a king. It is part of the festival of the Senor del Gran Poder held in La Paz each year. A full-size, very well made mask with full foam-rubber padding on the inside. Definitely made for the parade-- not for tourists. Could have been used once, but condition is almost perfect. There are two feather holders in the crown. Fully functional. SOLD
