I would say it was\u00a0carved and painted\u00a0in the state of Guerrero,\u00a0late 20th century. &#8220;Decorative&#8221; is a term used by collectors of Mexican masks to describe those made for sale to tourists rather than to villagers for dancing.\u00a0\u00a0Decoratives \u00a0often have an artificial patina that makes them look much older than they are.
