Decorative Mexican masks
Instead of being
performed by dancers, these decoratives are sold as art or
souvenirs. Often they don’t follow tradition,
and the better ones prove that
Mexican carvers are true artists who create wonderful painted
sculpture that anyone would be proud to display. Most collections
fail to recognize this important category.
