Q: I have attached 3 items and am interested in the name, age and what country each of them are from. Thank you. John, 760
A: This is a “Whistler” made in the style of the Iroquois False Face Society masks that have been used by Indians in the Northeastern part of America for many years. You can still buy new ones, as well as other styles, at many reservation tourist shops. This particular example could be old and used, though it is not well made. Most of them are better looking. Also, it would be helpful to know the name of the carver, date, and reservation from which it came.
To John, and to other readers who might have missed the instructions, the Mask Man will review only one mask per person. He also likes to get some idea of who, when, where, how much, and why the mask was obtained. Every little bit of info helps. ?

This is definitely a fake, low quality item. It lacks a spirit, and other details that would have, on their own, started to provide its validity.
