A: It is a classic mask from the Sepik River area of Papua New Guinea. Frankly, it has everything going for it: beautiful design, natural materials, very well made, good condition and large size. If it was old and used it could be a museum piece… but it is recent and made for sale. If you ever get to New York City you can see the best collection of PNG masks and other art in the Rockefeller Wing of the Metropolitan Museum. A-
